We have a busy image library service, and also of course we are one of the premier suppliers of framed pictures. The Collection has been a source of images for the commercial world of publishers, film & TV props, and pubs and restaurants – among others – for over 25 years, but is now available for the first time direct to the consumer. What makes us unique is that we take our images and reproduce them to the size you want. Obviously we give you a list of our standard sizes, but since every image is printed just for you, to the highest quality and on the best available papers, it means that if you ask us for a specific size not in our list, we will supply it for you at no extra cost. The price will be within the range that we quote for that image, though super-size pictures will of course be more. Likewise with the frames: if the range we give you is insufficient we'll come up with an alternative. If you are a commercial user and want to license our images for use, please email us. Ordering And Framing Your Chosen Picture On the left of every page in the Lordprice Collection is the list of main subjects (or categories). Click on one to show the sub-categories, and follow the links to find the pictures you want. For example, if you click on Sport, a number of sub-categories such as Rugby and Soccer will appear. If you can’t find the picture you want try the ‘Search’ facility. These will all bring up small ‘thumbnail’ images – clicking on these will show you a much larger image. We can reproduce your chosen picture to any size – but for the sake of simplicity have given you a choice of sizes for each image. The sizes shown are not of the image, but of the approximate outside frame size. The actual size will vary according to the proportions of the picture; for example, one longer/higher and thinner than the standard size will have a short side less than given. If this is a problem, or you want your frame to be a particular size, just ask: send an email before you order. For example, you may be ordering pictures as a set, and want the frames to be all the same size; we can do this by altering the margins of the mount to accommodate. For more specific details, please see: framed pictures You must email us if the precise dimensions are an issue - especially if external width or height need to be within a certain tolerance. Please note that pictures do not come in a standard shape! Although we quote a 'standard' size for our framed pictures - in each price range - because some images are taller and thinner, or wider, then one dimension can vary from that given. The master dimension will normally be close to that stated, but the other dimension may well vary due to the proportions of the picture itself. We can modify this if required, by adjusting the mount (mat) size. Please tell us if both finished dimensions are important to you. Your picture will be individually printed to the highest possible quality, often described as ‘giclee’, on the best available paper (photographic or fine art) most suitable to the image. We only sell our pictures framed and ready to hang. We’ve given you a choice of top-quality mouldings suitable for the images, and a range of mount card colours. We assume that you will want a single card mount (c. 3 inch / 7 cm) around the image, and we recommend ‘ivory’ unless you particularly want a colour to complement the image or your décor. If you need a different frame choice or style just email us before you order, although it may cost more than the range of prices shown. Of course, we use top-quality glass in our frames – although we may supply the larger sizes with very high quality acrylic plexi-glass for security in transit. Remember that you need to specify a size and frame choice for each picture you order, but not necessarily a mount (mat) colour as we will supply ‘ivory’ unless you choose another colour. Check the mount options here: Mount Options More Picture Options We can also arrange Custom Pictures: digitally-edited new versions of existing pictures, that have some elements improved. There are many Art Deco and Art Nouveau master works here, for instance, that were used in advertising posters; we can remove the text from these and return them to their pre-advert status. This frequently changes them dramatically into striking new works of art, and of course this may be how the artist originally intended them. For instance, you might like the artist's name, or name and date, at the bottom right, e.g.: Alphonse Mucha 1895 Simply email us with your requirements. Pricing And Payment The price shown includes VAT, but each order (irrespective of size or number of pictures) also incurs an £8.50 delivery charge, anywhere in the UK, EC or the USA . After you have placed your order you will receive an email confirmation from us to the email address you have given. If you don’t get that, send us a separate email asking why not! You have two payment options available: 1. By credit/debit card via the site; 2. By sending us a cheque. The Lordprice Collection uses a secure payment system gateway: Protx (details below) and you can be reassured that your transaction is secure. Nonetheless if you would prefer to give us the details over the telephone, email us and we will telephone you (land lines only please). After you have placed your order you will receive a separate email from Protx confirming your payment details. If you are outside Europe or the USA, and not in one of the other countries where we have an affiliate, and want to order one or more of our splendid pictures, don’t despair: send us an email and we’ll sort it out for you! In addition to the checks carried out by Protx, The Lordprice Collection will carry out its own random checks on delivery addresses and telephone numbers. Protx Our merchant account partner is Protx, who handle all our card transactions directly. The Protx payment system uses a combination of established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Their Internet facing web servers are certified by Verisign, ensuring that no third parties can impersonate Protx to obtain secure information. The transfer of the less sensitive transaction details from the retailer’s site to Protx is encrypted and digitally-signed. This ensures that the information passed is secure and tamper-proof. Any communication between the customer and Protx is encrypted to the maximum strength supported by the customer’s browser. The customer is also protected from fraudulent use of their card in a ‘card not present’ environment by their card issuer. All data stored on Protx systems is held on encrypted and highly secured databases. Protx are regularly audited by Visa and MasterCard to ensure that their systems conform to the latest security standards. Please note that credit card details supplied to our online store are collected exclusively by Protx, and that we do not have access to these details. This means that we would not be able to "supply another picture using the same card details", for instance, as we do not have access to that information. Privacy and Security We take Security very seriously, and all of our and your data is protected carefully. Please see the previous section about our Merchant Partner, Protx, for details about online card transactions. Perhaps you have noticed that when you enter an encrypted part of the site, during the ordering process, your browser address bar changes to a sand-gold colour; this shows that you are on a secure and encrypted connection. We take your privacy seriously. Your details, of any kind, are well protected. These details will not be disclosed to anyone else for any reason, with the exception of your address for our shipping contractors. Online Privacy: we do not run any scripts on our pages, with two exceptions – a simple bookmark script which helps you to add our front page to your browser Favorites, should you choose to click on the link; and some scripts which display our images or captions. Therefore, on our site, you can safely Enable Scripts, should you have them otherwise disabled. Our website only uses cookies in order to identify you in the shopping process, otherwise we could not reliably identify you through the ordering and checkout procedures. Cookies also enable the site to recognise you if registered, so that your use of our resources is expedited. We promise that no other cookies of any type, including advertising data miners, are used. Therefore you can safely Enable Cookies on our site, should you otherwise have them disabled. Our website is designed to operate in 'clean' mode at all times, with absolutely no malware of any type, because we value our reputation. You will also find that if you use a modern, standards-compliant, secure browser such as Firefox (for PC) or Camino (for Mac), which can both be downloaded and used freely, then you will have less security-related problems than when using other browsers. Delivery / Shipping Your finished picture(s) will be sent by carrier within 14 days of us receiving your order. Remember that these can be bulky packages and there could be a problem if you’re not there to receive it! If you need it on or before a particular day then send us a separate email and we’ll try to help. If you have a problem receiving your order on any particular day or time then tell us and we’ll see what we can do. All orders within Europe and the USA are despatched at the same cost. If you are outside of Europe or the USA (and not in a country where we have an affiliate and the shipping details are separately available) we will have to quote individually for delivering your order – please email us before you place your order. Should your picture(s) be damaged when you get them we will, of course, replace them with no further charge.
